I've been looking at e-Bay stores that sell baked goods. I was surprised to find a good selection of professional looking sites and products.
I know absolutely nothing about e-Bay stores. I've bought and sold individual items on e-Bay, but never thought of it as a place to peddle Vermont Shortbread Company's products. I think I may be harboring a preconceived notion that selling my product in this way would somehow dilute its appeal as a gourmet product or that it isn't professional. Am I off base?
Is this a good idea? Is it easy to set up a store? If you have experience operating an e-Bay store, I'd love to hear about your trials and tribulations.

You would be surprised to see some of the big names that are using eBay. Stores like JCPenny are now using it as another sales outlet.
Its quite acceptable to have an eBay store as your marketplace. If you want to be a little more pro, build a very small website, get a domain name and integrate it into your eBay store.
