Maybe it's the cold autumnal breeze that makes us want to retreat inward and prepare warm feasts for our families, but the LemonGrassGirls are back at it: blogging about life through food stories. It's one of our favorite things to do!
Got a favorite food story YOU want to share?
Consider submitting it to the LemonGrassGirls. We'd love to read your "entrees". E-mail your food story to Ann at jsaz-AT-gmavt.net or dina-AT-wordfeeder.com.
I've had a sudden craving for pumpkin or squash soup after a lovely bowl of creamy, cinnaomony squash soup today accompanied by a curried chicken salad sandwich on a fresh baguette. I enjoyed this meal with a friend whose energy is creative, enthusiastic and just downright inspirational. Often, it's the company, rather than the meal that takes center stage. Combine loving, laughing energy with a long, colorful autumn meal and you've got the ingredients for a profound essay.
It's that simple. Write to us.

Hi Ann
I found you via a quick search for Rich Maggiani's website (small world - I live in Australia and work as a tech writer and know Rich from STC Conferences). Saw your craving for a pumpkin/squash soup and thought I'd share mine: http://sandgroper14.wordpress.com/2006/08/13/comfort-food-2-seven-mules-soup/
We eat a LOT of pumpkin soup in Australia - in fact, almost everything we do with pumpkin is savoury, not sweet. I've never been able to deal with sweet pumpkin desserts!
