One of my shortbread customers times her yearly client gift-giving in a neat way. She waits until the Christmas rush is over, and then puts in a boatload of orders for shortbread gift boxes to send in the New Year, with a note of thanks to her clients.
What a neat concept! I'll bet she's able to stand out in the minds of many with this original plan. And, who wouldn't want an arbitrary box of delicious, home-baked shortbread to arrive in the middle of January or so, when the reality of New Years' Resolutions hits hard after a month of decking every house and hall with boughs of holly and strings of miniature colored lights, eating everything in sight and downing holiday punch with glee... and now you're deprived and dejected, stuck on the Customer Service line at Target with an armful of rejected Christmas presents?
So, hey! If you never got around to thanking your clients for all the business they bring, not to mention all the glorious Christmas gifts you're able to give family and friends thanks to the checks they send... why not extend the client gift-giving into January like my customer does? Strike while the oven is hot - place your order for shortbread today.
Yours,
Ann of Vermont Shortbread Company

Or, perhaps a valentine's gift because I love my clients!
Great idea,
Cynthia
